  • New user - no clue what model Charvel this is - any help?

    Hey Everyone,

A note to say hello & please help

I had a Jackson JDR94 Concept before - was really nice. Today I got this and have no clue about it, value, model anything really....

Anyone that can help? It is an american charvel - made in ft worth.

I will post a pic in a sec - photobucket is screwing up, and the pic is showing wrong.

Anyone that can help me - it would be super appreciated

    Thanks

    guitarsmark.

Edit - the bridge, pickups, and tuning keys are all labeled Jackson as well

No guitars were ever made in Fort Worth, TX. That was Jackson's corporate headquarters at one time. Anything with the Forth Worth plate is Japanese. Your guitar is a 275 Deluxe. Welcome to the forum.

Is that a surface mounted trem with a pull-up route, or are my eyes decieving me? If so, then that's awesome!

I thought all the "toothpaste logo" bolt-ons had a fully recessed trem (?).

Great looking axe btw! How does she play?

Yes, it's non-recessed with a pull-up route. I think they started doing those in '89 for quite a few Charvels, but I could be wrong.

You are correct. It is the same route that is on the 3DR only made in 1988.

Cool, I am learning quite a bit about this one, I haven't played with a floyd in years... so this should be fun for a while.
