Confucius did not say that. He did say He who speaks without modesty will find it difficult to make his words good.

And Its not that i care what you think. I just dont like they way you open your mouth to hear yourself talk. You step off. If your bothered by my response so much, then move on to a new post! Why do you keep coming back to this post?
Whats it matter to you that I think your arrogant. . . If I'm wrong then be a big boy and move on mr established forum poster. You think that the fact that you've sat around and posted 6000 more times gives you any clout or seem less arrogant? You came in here and and just started shooting your mouth off plain and simple.

Because you put it in the Import Jackson section and it's an import Charvel. I've now moved it to the appropriate forum.

The General consensus i got on other forums and other sites was between 150-400 dollars depending on quality. the highest i saw was 500 w/ a Sweet hardshell and double locking.

Mine is also double locking at this time as I upgraded my bridge saddles.
I'm going to apologize to some of you for me getting caught up in that shit slinging battle.

                      String Saver Saddles. Teflon coated.

I had a 90/91 Floyd 2. AKA string through Ball (end) breaker.

Now its double locking. no more ball end snaps.

Teflon reduces also the friction on the strings over the Saddles when bending. Which stabilizes tuning.

On my non locking Trems, (bigsby/fender) anything that is non locking I have a little trick.

As most of you should know if you don't already. Tuning stability is ensured by a proper bridge and nut set-up. A lot of people think strings are interchangeable, but the fact of the matter is that some guitars are set-up specifically for a certain gauge.

These Floyd Locking nuts are designed to take 9's and higher. I'm positive you could throw some fat 14's on there with that fifth spring if thats what you want.

Now for some set-ups to go larger, you need to file the nut. This is to keep string buzzing/fretting/ and a proper tuning stability. If you throw too heavy of strings on it, it could cause the string to get slotted in, but pulled loose just from Vibrato and pitch bends. What I mean to say, your rounds (round wound strings) will get snagged @ the grooves, against the edges of the Nut.

So after reading that. The trick is to take a mechanical pencil, and just draw in the nut wherever the string will touch! nice and heavy, as much as you can until your just shaving graphite everywhere. This will lessen friction and allow your strings to pull in both directions easier and keep a more stable tuning. (weather it increases the life of the nut, I couldn't tell you.) Some people just buy graphite nuts. . . I prefer Bone with custom graphite coating

The teflon Saddles are the same principal, but in reverse as the strings don't move up top. Try the "pencil trick" on your acoustics, or other non locking guitars.

I've been doing this on my Gretsch ever since i first received it. I wonder if you could do the pencil trick on your Saddles

The fact that the Ball ends dont snap off. Yes.
The friction factor. I dunno if i've noticed it that much other than tuning wise... but wear wise. I might get 10-20 more bends in than normal, not that I actually counted or anything.

Are you joking? The String through Saddles are garbage. and the floyd 2 locking saddles are too.

I think its worth the extra 2-3 dollars per saddle.
