475s

I've had some model 4 gas as of late but have seen some cheap 475s. I had a 375 and it was my first "real" guitar. looking back, it was very tinny sounding, at least with the stock pickups. i dug a model 4 i had, but i hated the kahler. kahler aside, i liked the 4 with the stock pickups/boost and have been looking at 4's with non-kahlers. i liked the playability and sound of the 4 quite a bit. are the 475s considered to be on par with the 4's? i don't mind the toothpaste logo

I like the 475. I have one and would certainly buy another if I found one in really nice shape for a good price. great guitars.

475s have a better trem (JT-590), so, there's that.

475 exotic deluxe is one sweet model.

It's just a 475 with a quilt or flame top, and orange burst finish.

Ah ok, thats what I own then. mine is a flame top, kind of an amber burst.

I have a 275dlx. All i can say is its a great slab, with a fine (acceptable) neck, and as long as it has a double locking (nut/bridge) Floyd/Schaller, and a good set-up with the right strings it plays like the higher models. The pick-ups leave more to be desired, but as we know, this is usually a non issue unless you gig.

Basically it gives you the Same Feel as the higher quality models, with a lower sound price. A good cheap Mod guitar tho.
