  • Charvel 625F - Any info OR comments?

Thank you for reading - JUST purchased a mint condition early 1990's Charvel 625F acoustic/electric - NO sound-hole model - maple flame - gold tuners - abalone - rosewood - its nice & sounds terrific - even unplugged... Just curious about this model - nothing online?? Seems like a cool axe & I'm happy w/it - purchased with org case for 180.00 - think I did well.

It seems to me that Charvel acoustics aren't discussed very often here. I do have a budget 500 series (I can't remember the exact model) that I keep in the camper. I think I paid about $125 for it with upgraded schaeller tuners and a nice hard case. I think all of the acoustics were made in Korea but mine plays well for what it is. The one you describe sounds pretty nice and I believe is a much higher end model. Can you post pics?

      Charvel 625F - Picture

Thanks for the reply - Here is a pic of the Charvel 625F - Just did a quick image search & grabbed this pic off the net - the dark, flamed guitar is my exact guitar.... Again, quality seems above the usual 500.00 acoustic range IMO - just interesting that no too-much info can be found on Charvel Acoustics... SEE:

I have a 625C I think I stole for $80 off'n the ebay about 5 years ago. I like it, haven't even bothered to change the strings.

Very Cool - Much appreciated. Nice having a -somewhat rare- guitar..One thing which is odd - I just noticed that my guitar looks identical to the 625F shown - but, the end of the fret board looks "scalloped" or has a slight wave/curve - mine is simple cut at an angle... maybe I have a first run deal...? My pre-amp deal on the side says Made In England - Anyway, sounds cool and looks cool too... BTW, new to Charvel/Jackson gear - good stuff. Love the US stuff... THX again - I'll send a note to Charvel - maybe they can help ID, etc... Cheers.
