Need a little help.

Just got some info on a Charvel that I might want to buy, but I don't know exactly what I am looking at. I think it is a mid nineties guitar. The guy said he has had it for 10 years, when he bought it from the original owner.


It has a toothpaste logo
reverse pointy headstock
a single coil set at an angle at the neck
a humbucker at the bridge
both pickups are EMGs
Dots on the rosewood fretboard look correct
Floyd Rose licensed trem
No pickguard
1 volume knob
blade pickup selector

I don't have a serial number

Any ideas?

Sounds like a Charvel Predator with replaced pickups.
They were produced around 1989-1991 or thereabout.

Definitely a Predator. Are you sure they're EMGs? The original bridge pickup was covered.

That's the one. Yeah, I am sure they are EMGs. He texted me a few pics of it. I'm still waiting on a pic of the serial plate.

This one is a red or magenta. Looks good. The hard ware is clean and it has all the locks on the nut.

How does this guitar compare to a model series? What is the value on one in very good condition?
