  • Charvel ST Custom from 1991

I have an old Charvel ST Custom from 1991 just like this http://audiozone.dk/cm/albums/jc-cat...0-1/Page28.jpg

It requires a tuning peg, a tone knob and a tremolo arm to be fully useable again but I am having difficulty identifying and locating the parts needed, I am in the UK here is my guitar in present condition http://img718.yfrog.com/img718/7328/pict0511.jpg

Can anyone help me with this.

    Welcome to the JCF!

The trem bar is available here:

These are made by JCFer Budman68. He's great to deal with and does awesome work.

The black dome knobs are pretty easy to come by online or at most any decent guitar store. Get a measurement of the shaft diameter before you buy, because there are two common sizes. I think the imports take the smaller, but check to be sure. The tuner for that model may take some digging around to find a match, but I'm sure there's something online that'll work. It's different from the usual ones they used on the imports Charvels. Are there any markings on them? Posting a pic of them from the back may help.

Thanks for your help so far, I suppose the most important thing is the tuning peg here is a close up photo of the ones on the guitar at the moment http://yfrog.com/0mpict0518vj there is no markings, does this help.

I think Gotoh Vintage in black may be a match:

No idea if there's anywhere to get a single one, except maybe eBay.

Just checked eBay. No single ones, and crazy high prices. That deal at Warmoth is looking really good. You might also consider replacing the whole set with the locking model. That would probably be a good idea if you plan on using the trem much.

Thanks they look perfect. I suppose I do not really need the tremolo arm or the knob but the tuning peg is essential. Now I will have to see if I can buy just the one.

I just ran across these cheap ones as well, but I bet the Gotohs are better:

A lot of the stuff they sell at Guitar Fetish is crap, imo, but not everything.
