  • What we got here?

A Korean made Charvette with one of those tough to find trems. IIRC those trem posts don't line up well with any other FRs. I'd pass on this one myself.

      Pass for that price.
The trems that came on those have weak pot metal blocks that break. That's why its missing.
If solid wood and narrow dot neck with good frets, it would be worth plugging & drilling for a Floyd. But the price is too high.
      Also cheap pups & electronics.

The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
      I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
      And rock that sucker.

Agreed. By the time you get the trem thing sorted, you're at or above Model 2 or 3 money. No point in going down that road, imo.

I'm gonna steal that one and use it again some day.

Yeah, even if it had the trem, its still a $100 guitar. Maybe if you like that color. I have one of those trems in a plastic bag in pieces because it has the broken block. I save the parts because I have a black guitar just like the one for sale with that trem on it. Of course it will probably end up being the block that breaks on it though. Ive often wondered if a wilkinson trem would work. The spacing might be ok but I think the intonation would be thrown off big time.

Agree about the value being only about $100 even if it had the trem. Yea, I'd be worried about intonation too because the saddles sit so far back from the studs. That trem was also used on other Korean imports of the time. I have a BC Rich platinum POS with that trem on it.

Actually, I like that trem for a non locker. Too bad the blocks were junk.

                        Cool color IMO.
I had a BC Rich ironbird that had one of those cheezy trems and I put a JT-6 on with no problems.
                        Really? well screw Mark Twain.
