Best guess is 1986. No logo pickup covers and Kahler trem.

Logo's wear off the pickup covers and lots of folks used to sand them off as well.

my Model 4 is 230986 & also has US Kahler & US Jackson pickups. I scored some pickups out of a Model 5 years ago and they also had US Jackson pickups. AFAIK, all Model series Charvels had the same pickups wound in Jackson's US plant as their US guitars.
          Hail yesterday

It's an 86 Model 4 same as mine.

I didn't know the earlier the run made a difference.

Mine was made 68 microseconds before yours, so it must be better LOL!

Are the singles muddy? Try using the preamp with them.

nice guitar man, congrats, not much of a suprise that some parts on the kahler have been changed, cause the parts are so small and fiddly they gunk up and corrode

looks like its in good condition for a 24 year old guitar, looks like its been played quite a bit, which is a good sign that the previous owner(s) liked how it played

The early ones didn't have logos(my model 6 with the 56th neck thru make and didn't have logos and was never sanded or worn off).

Then it should be an early one since they did not have the raised Jackson logo on the covers.
