I see no Floyd parts on that trem at all. The saddle is a JT-6 part. It is just missing the string lock as he stated.
What string lock is holding the string in the high E saddle? Looks like a floyd string lock.. (or "block" as I called it..)

Take a look at the photo. You see the other saddles have a "square-like" doohickey on top whereas the high E looks like the Floyd style? That is because that saddle is missing that doohickey that sits on top. It is a removable piece and if one is not careful when the JT-6 is taken apart, that piece can be lost. That is a completely stock JT-6 saddle. It is just simply missing the string lock (doohickey). Trust me, I have taken my JT-6's apart on numerous occasions for cleanings. 1st time I saw the saddle without the string lock I thought "wow looks just like a Floyd".

Yep, that string lock block is missing on the high E, and it appears to have been replaced with one from a Floyd. That's what he's been saying all along... I'm not sure what you guys are arguing about. :dunno:

It has not been replaced with one from a Floyd...that is a JT-6 part that is missing the lock block. There are NO Floyd parts on that trem.

Err, what's holding that high E string in the saddle then? Sheer force of will? :P

No arguement, just a disagreement. As far as I remember when I took a JT6 apart, the square-like doohickey (perfect description Bombtek!!) has the block attached (all 1 piece) that goes down into the saddle and locks the string in to the saddle. The little string lock block inside the saddle and the square-like doohickey aren't separate pieces. The one in there now is a floyd style one. I win. Disagreement over... lol

Whoa ...I know I am a stubborn prick...even when wrong ..well I was wrong...it is a JT-6 saddle utilizing a Floyd string lock...Early on in the thread there was a post stating it was a JT-6 using a Floyd saddle, and that is what got me in my all knowing can't be wrong mood. On that note, I was right, it is simply a stock JT-6 saddle....then I put the blinders on and refused to see what you other folks were telling me. It is a JT-6 saddle with a Floyd string lock. Sorry bout that.
