On top of that, in the worst economic crisis of our time FMIC sends bread & butter to freaking Japan. How many lost jobs at Corona?
WTF knows.
But the profit margin sure looks better!! somebody is stroking somebody at Scottsdale!! Good job!
Even more, further deface the Charvel name by "Crafting" these POS in Japan, have I gone back in time in some sort of time machine?
Haven't we gone through this before and soon thereafter Charvel dissapeared.

Funny...for a number of years, people were clamoring over the old Model Series and singing praises about how great they were, and that was just a few years after you'd be lucky to get $250 out of them. I'm gonna bet that since there are plenty Fenders to be built that not a lot of Charvel guys lost jobs. If any. Yeah it sucks that they're made overseas, but maybe there's something else on the horizon for Charvel. I'm going to bet that since they were made in Cali at the prices they were offered at, Charvel was probably not making a killing on them. Maybe they'll actually make MORE money by offering a similar (if not ...gasp... BETTER) quality instrument from Japan. Nobody bitches about the MIJ Jacksons other than the trem.
I'm also going to bet that CNC in Japan is probably on par with CNC in the US.
Well I guess they're going to stick with the Floyd being the only bridge option. Too bad for the few of us that prefer something else.
Same here.
So far the new series looks good to me. Wait a few months for some deals on the street price and you should get a solid guitar. Still gotta say that it sucks that we can't get a $799 US made series like the American Special Fenders.
Sorry, but I don't see anything in this line up to get excited about. I sure hope the folks at Charvel have something else to offer?
Different strokes, my friend. There would be people absolutely pissing themselves if this had happened 5, 10, or 15 years ago. JCF is a fickle beast though. It's funny - we get what we want and then ask - no, whine - for MORE. It's really more a symptom of our society as it is now.
Last I checked, I don't remember Fender or Gibson listening to "the people" and trying to come up with something they might like. Charvel is pretty unique that way.
Stuff like this is part of why I don't post all that much these days.

Wow...is there even a comparison here? Fender and Charvel being put in the same category now. I think I've seen it all today. Time to go to bed before something worse happens!
