If you look quick the made in Japan is small and cleverly placed under the logo. The type is smaller then the USA address and people will be confused. They shouldnt have put USA on the plate.

I'm glad they put made in Japan on it but they shouldn't have put the San Dimas address on there in my opinion.

Went by my local retailer yesterday and they didn't have any yet. They are holding a few (6?) USA series still, so maybe they are waiting to order them?

Does seem strange but could be everyone blew their wads on the USA Production Models. The new imports don't really offer anything new of significance other than a lower price and a case.

I don't think they're available yet, or somebody would've at least posted a review of one they checked out in a shop. We have 2 dealers nearby, and my plan was to do a side-by-side comparison with a USA promod, but no dice yet.

No, really... I looked at the red one last time I was there (July) and I wanted it bad... I'm afraid it will come home with me and I'll just use the MIJ Pro Mod as bait to trick myself into going there.

You'd have to be pretty silly to pay that kind of money for a guitar that doesn't even have a wiggle stick.

Maybe you can get a discount. Use the old - "well, I don't really like hard tails..." and maybe they'll hit you with a free pack of strings or something.

When are all the people that say they're going to get one of these things be able to get one so we can get a first hand review of them? I thought they were already released.....

I played one today at my local music store for over two hours. Compared side by side to several of the USA made models it quite frankly blew them away. The guitar is absolute perfection from top to bottom. The alder body is extremely resonant. The finish(snow white) is impeccable. The fret work is some of the best i've seen on an instrument of any price. There is not even the slightest hint of a gap around the neck pocket. The dealer had one of each color in stock and they were all equally on par as far as quality. The included case is extremely nice. Charvel has a real winner on their hand with these guitars. I'm picking mine up tomorrow.
