Value of Model 6 for insurance in Aus?

Hi guys gonna be renting my with my GF and we're getting contents insurance but im unsure how much value to put on the 1989 Model 6, Aus dollar is worth between US$0.95-0.99 BUT guitars are always more expensive here no matter how good the dollar is!

So for instance there is a 1989 650xl on ebay going for $1400 here, so would i put the 1989 Model 6 as $1,400 or do you reckon $1,200 would be more suitable? because i remmeber i made a post about it a year ago of a Model 3 going for $1,200 here.

dammit haha do guitar stores do valuations?

Also its signed by Edguy so would that push the value up?

IIRC that Model 3 is still for sale on Oz Ebay (now for $1k) so I wouldn't necessarily use their asking price as a gauge. Seems that no one else in the country thinks it a fair market value. I paid less than $200 each for my Model 2 & 4 and around $350 for my 550XL. Take from that what you will. These import Charvels are a hell of a lot of guitar for the money & I do think I have snared some great deals on them.

I would think that $1,000 would be reasonable for your Model 6, assuming it's in good shape. Others may disagree.

Oddly enough, I have a Model 6 in Melbourne, which I leave there for when I visit. It's pretty beat up, but I only paid $600 or so for it IIRC.

Mate you didnt snare a great deal you stole them at those prices...................
