different tuners on 87-88 model series

hey there--question--was there 2 styles of tuners in 87-88? All my others are the same small head type except this one random model 4 which has larger more club shaped heads.

I've only noticed the standard Jackson branded tuners.

Unless youve owned it its whole life, Id say someone at some point replaced them.

Yup, there was no change, even to this day they use the same tuners on everything except the crappy Grovers on the promods. God I hate Grovers.

Yeah that's what I thought also but they look stock--maybe someone just kept the machines but changed the heads...I will post a photo later
