vintage charvel chart gone?

Nope, Franx didn't pull it because of that. Let me clarify once and for all

Way back I created and published the 1990-95 Jackson Import guide. The plan was to do an equivalent one for 1986-91 Charvel Imports. I started out, but halted due to lack of time. I did not publish my half-finished Charvel list.

1.5 years later, Franx approached me very politely and asked permission to grab some catalog scans from my site and use them for a similar list, a Charvel list he was working on. Sure, no problem, I said. He asked me again just before going online with it. No problem, I said. So he published it.

I later read here that Franx found a PDF file on a German forum, a Charvel list, which he used as a foundation for his list. Franx had asked for permission to use it but in vain, so he proceeded to finish his work. German JCF member busdriver complained briefly about it.

I finally completed my Charvel Imports list and published it. Franx contacted me shortly after and said he had pulled his Charvel list, seeing that I finally completed my list. I asked him why but he insisted to pull it. So, Franx filled a much needed gap for about 2 years and that's it.

No big drama. I just wanted it to be clear.
