I can never decide which of those I like better, so I suppose I'll have six of one and a half dozen of the other.

I really look forward to seeing what happens to your guitar. About a year ago, I bought a Model 6 through Craigslist for $300. It was in terrible shape (although the neck wasn't as cracked as yours). Someone had tried to install a 5-way switch and had done an appalling hatchet job on the three switches.

It took a lot of work and a lot of love. Full fret redo and rewiring. It came out gorgeous and playing like a dream.

In my opinion, a Model 6 is worth the love you have to put into it. Those old neck-thru Charvels are incredible quality and they are worth restoring.

So how are the Kramer Quadrails? I have an axe (neckthru dual hum) that originally came with these but they were swapped out before I got it. The new pickups (no-name) sound good like a Duncan Distortion, but is it worth it to restore the Quadrails?

i am wanting to try to stay as close to original as possible but since a nothing on the guitar is original electronic wise and trem wise i guess i want to stick an ebony board on it and go a pink crackle with a black background. I have an original floyd rose to trade for a black one. The pickups that came in it was an 81,S,S i would also like to trade those for the original pickups nd the je1200 to put back in it.What do yall think? Maybe even just making it a single hum neck thru with binding

Gorgeous, I totally agree. Very very nice. And the old JT-6 looks to be in great shape too.

Dustin where was the seller located?I sold my model 6 to a guy in Texas 5 years ago same pick ups and color.
It had one ding on the back of the neck around the 12th fret.Just curious to know if its my old one.
There was some clear coat lifting around the nut area when I had it so that made me wonder.
I have the serial number in my ledger but where I put the ledger thats the question.LOL
                          Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I bought this model 6. Dustin, you didn't tell me the fretboard was lifting. It's all good, I was expecting it to be hammered, and look forward to the work. I'll make the thing look tits.
