Does it have to be? It's the internet, there's no expectation of privacy. If you infer you don't like it on another board don't come here and say how great it is to try to sell us the one you have in stock at your store.

Not sure what Chubtone said or didn't say elsewhere on the Internet, but I know some dealers are selling these very quickly and the local shop here e-mailed me yesterday (I had asked about it when I was in the day before) to say theirs had come in and he thought it was really nice.

So, obviously, whether the Molten Crust Burst is "nice" or not is totally subjective. For instance, you couldn't give me a top-of-the-line Jackson V since I don't like V's. But on the other hand, I am a sucker for strat bodies with a red or orange burst (ala 25th Anniversary Charvel) while some guys hate 'em.

So far as the build of the MIJ Pro Mods, Chubtone has always stated that his opinion is that they are on par with the USA predecessors. Again, a bit subjective, but when you see/hear Chubtone play, I have to respect his opinion since he knows his way around an electric guitar.

How nice a top is has nothing to do with how well you can play.

Now, on the USA Charvel forum, yes - he puked all over the guitar, but then went on to note how the guitar ended up being sold within a few days of recieving it so, paraphrased: "what did he know."

As others have said and then pointed out with my exact quotes. NOWHERE in this thread or on the entire internet did I say that this was a good looking or great looking guitar or that any of you should buy it. Read my posts again. NOWHERE on JCF did I mention anyone should buy anything from me.

I know Bionic is on here and had a hand in the release of this new wildcard and I think Bionic is as cool as it gets so I didn't want to offend him by trashing the looks of this new guitar. My personal opinion was that it was hideous but I didn't want to come out and say it for fear of bumming out Bionic, but will now to defend my integrity and have you re-read my posts in this thread and see where I was really coming from this time.

If I loved the thing, I would have said it on here. I don't consider the guys on JCF as deserving to be lied to and the truth told to other forums.

PS. Sorry Bionic. I think you've done some great stuff. But not everybody is going to like everything.

I hope I made my point clearly in my above post. I knew that others could then find pics and look at them and make the comments for me that I didn't want to on here because Bionic posts here. That's all there was to it. I didn't reference ANY store. I wanted to see if others thought the same thing or if I was maybe missing the point of this new axe and everyone liked them.

Do you guys see my point now? I didn't link to any auctions or make any inferences about buying one from anyone. And why would anyone not say how kick ass something was when they had seen it. Who would that offend?

This is an extremely suspicious group here. I'm just talking to fellow Charvel freaks here as a 27 year Charvel freak myself. That's all I do on the JCF.

You should have just said what you meant in your first post instead of being so crytpic and saying you were speechless. No one knew whether you meant it looked better in person or if it was hideous.

I, for one, appreciated the info on the new Wild Card as my local dealer is over an hour away. And, being a family man with a corporate job, I have NO time (I get to the Charvel shop about once a year) to go check out the Charvel's in person.

So, thanks to Chubtone for sharing his thoughts on the guitar...even though he has to walk a thin line between keeping us informed and not upsetting his suppliers.
