I didn't reference ANY store. I wanted to see if others thought the same thing or if I was maybe missing the point of this new axe and everyone liked them.
Do you guys see my point now? I didn't link to any auctions or make any inferences about buying one from anyone. And why would anyone not say how kick ass something was when they had seen it. Who would that offend?
This is an extremely suspicious group here. I'm just talking to fellow Charvel freaks here as a 27 year Charvel freak myself. That's all I do on the JCF.
I'm merely pointing out I could totally see where Rich was coming from, it wasn't such a ridiculous line of reasoning as it was made out to be. You made the thread to say nothing, then. Why make a thread that says "Hey, I've seen this. But I'm not going to tell you whether I like it or not." Doesn't that sound pretty damn suspicious?
So, I understand your point and I'm not saying I don't believe you but you have to admit it seems a little WEIRD for a guy to make a thread about something and refuse to give his opinion. Now that you said why, I understand. But, it seemed pretty "fishy" before.Last edited by MakeAJazzNoiseHere; 02-03-2011, 02:33 PM.

MAJN,
I admit I can see where you guys are coming from and it was cryptic, but I have no desire to circumvent the rules on the JCF. I knew as soon as I said it was out in stores that you guys would find the pics "out there" and you guys could all say what you thought of it and get my point across for me without me having to do it.
I used to do that in school all the time too. I was an instigator. I'd say to whoever was around me, "hey, you know what would be funny? If we did this......" and then I would stand by and see my devious idea implemented without having to do it myself. I would still get in trouble sometimes too and insist, "but I didn't DO anything."
That's it, I'm handing out tinfoil hats at the next JCF get together.

I think he was just trying to state his opinion in a democratic kind-of-way I guess, because the new Wild Card had made its way to eBay for us all to see...or we could have gone to our local Charvel dealer to see them for ourselves.

Let me say that there are quite a few dealers for our favorite brand of guitars that are SPONSORS of the JCF Forum and that any of you who frequent this forum and get all your info here should buy from the dealers that sponsor this forum. They have their own section and deserve your business.
I am just a Charvel and Jackson fan on the JCF.

There is also no question you didn't need to be cryptic at all, either. If your goal was just to start a discussion then "So, I see the new wildcard is in stores now, what do you guys think of it?" would have been a better way to go.
But hey, no big deal. I see what you were trying to do. It's just the way you did it seemed kind of... Odd.

I guess what it boiled down to is that I was having some fun on a forum. I may have wanted to say that this one looks like it was designed by Helen Keller, but refrained from it for the reason I already stated. This is someones work and that person IS passionate about it. I've done things and had others not really dig it and I KNOW that is going to happen but it still makes me wish everyone liked what I did. I recently released an instrumental CD with 9 songs that a lot of people probably think suck. This is not a cryptic or subliminal message to you guys to buy my CD either, as a matter of fact JCF members are not allowed to buy my CD! But designing a guitar like this is personal and my guess is that Bionic did design it so therefore I don't want to bum him out.
Stating that I had seen one in person put me in a different position than 99% of the Charvel fans at that point. Not commenting on it has already been covered quite clearly and honestly in my posts. I guess I don't think of all possible angles of repercussions when I'm having fun on a forum and I can assure you that WILL continue in the future. This is all for fun. I hope none of you went into your bunkers and fired up the generators after reading my cryptic posts. Can we move along now? I am not a Russian spy. Not a member of Al Queda. Not a follower of the JFK two shooters theory. I did however say I had seen the guitar and made you guys wait 2 minutes to see it yourself with a quick search of ebay or Google.

They are not foto flame. If the tops were just incredible, I would suspect foto flame but they are just good, fairly basic figured tops. They look to be about 3/16" of an inch thick which I believe is the more affordable option for tops available from the Charvel custom shop. My Warmoth has this same thickness quilt maple top on the alder. What I honestly like about the top being only 3/16" is that it doesn't do too much to take away the inherent tone of alder. Though alder is affordable and plain looking and readily available, I love it's tone and don't want some $600 top effecting the way my $99 alder sounds.
And yes obviously I wear a tin foil hat. I was just saying I was going to bring more for the rest of you.
