I posted some works in progress pics of this a while back, showing the work John at Doberman Guitars did on the neck. I had it converted to a Floyd nut and had it painted black. Now its all buttoned up (mostly). Still waiting on truss rod cover and pickup rings from Budman (fretsonthenet) and that will about do it (and I've got a bad ground in there somewhere I think because there's some switch noise going on). Pickups are Dimarzio Super D and Liquifire neck. Mini switches are a output kill and a tone kill. Old Floyd Rose on it. Except for the rosewood board - its almost completely black. Really like this guitar. Plays really well - probably my easiest playing guitar from a string feel standpoint.

It's great - it takes the ceramic magnets, the painted neck heel, the neck bolts, the Floyd and the jumbo frets out of the circuit and turns it into a Gibson Les Paul R9 with a long neck tenon and wimpy pickups. Total tone-machine!

Not bad. How did he handle adding the floyd nut Did he have to modify that area, because the stock design doesn't lend itself to simply slapping one on.

Yes. John created a shelf for the Floyd nut to sit on.
