Post more pics. I'm just seeing the one small one. Something's definitely screwed up if you have a shim in that area of the pocket and the action is high with the trem lowered to the body.

Charvel Model 2 Neck / Trem Question

Maybe the saddles are shimmed?? The neck angle looks fine, the action doesnt LOOK bad but your measurements say otherwise.
EDIT: I assume you mean .6 cm, right? That is a bit unreasonable. All my guitars are .25 - .3 cm (2.5 - 3 mm)from tip of the 12th to bottom of low E string.Last edited by Twitch; 03-25-2011, 09:53 PM.HTTP 404 - Signature Not Found

I checked both the fret board and the frets, frets could use a little work but still playable and the fret board is flat? could it be the neck pocket is off?Charvel Model 2, Jackson Stealth EX, Jackson JTX, ESP/LTD 351D, USA Fender Telecaster, Epiphone L/P

When I frist got her back and did my rebuilt the trem I found no shims under the saddles. I leaning tords a full neck pocket shim to raise the neck up but I really like having the trem on resting the the surface of the guitar.....I'm not a trem guy but I do like having the fine turners, my Stealth is blocked off...no floater here. lolCharvel Model 2, Jackson Stealth EX, Jackson JTX, ESP/LTD 351D, USA Fender Telecaster, Epiphone L/P

Can we get a pick of the bridge as if you were looking across the guitar if it were eye level and one from behind the bridge as if it were at eye level?Charvel Model 2, Jackson Stealth EX, Jackson JTX, ESP/LTD 351D, USA Fender Telecaster, Epiphone L/P

My action is like 1 MM on the high E @17th fret with the strings capo'ed at the 1st, and I can do step-and-a-half bends anywhere on the neck without fretting out.
Point being, 1.5 mm isn't absurd in the slightest, however on a guitar with a less than optimal setup and fret leveling it's about all I'd expect.

I like my action about the thickness of a Jazz III above the 12th fret with no capo. I can work higher or lower, but that's what I like. I've found the radius of the fretboard has more to do with whether the neck feels quick or slow.-------------------------
