I disagree. Candy blue looks way old school.

I have to say it looks GREAT on a San Dimas, but on the So-Cal is just does not look right.

Yeah, swapping the PUs to zebras w/a cream bezel is a definite visual improvement on those SDs. IMHO, Charvel should consider making that the factory standard layout.

Still don't like the new blue, though. Yuck.

The black pickguard just dosen't go with that shade of blue, I agree with mint green.

I agree. That blue w/ a black guard would look like an Internation Color Series Strat from 1980.

Put me on the Love it Column. Steve Via used a similar colour with white Pearloid pickguard on Sound Theories that I have been Jonesin for.

There is one hanging at my local Charvel dealer, I like it. Reminds me of the blue paint used on old Ford motors.

AH now that is sweet! that other shade of blue on the pro mod does not work for me,if it were just a bit more like the daphne blue vintage fenders i could get on board with that color for a charvel san dimas.

here's daphne blue, picture the san dimas with the chub tone mod on it in this color!
