Sounds like you need to increase the break angle of the strings over the saddle. Shim the neck and raise the saddles up a touch?

Actually the saddles are already really high, almost as high as they can go. Im actually thinking the opposite, I need to bring the saddles down some, but there no easy way to do that. Guess Ill try to figure it out when I do my usual tear-down when I get a new axe. Any suggestions besides routing the neck pocket a bit deeper? Though that really wouldnt be a big deal, Id really hate to have to do that.

Tighten the springs and throw a little back angle on the trem maybe?

Well, there's your problem. It needs a floyd!

Shim the front edge the pocket so there is less angle to let you lower the saddles?

maybe its just the design of the saddles? Are they cast metal or stamped steel? maybe just switch them out with something different you have laying around?

Theyre cast saddles. This being my only hardtail guitar, I dont have any spare parts to swap for once!

I may pick up a set of graphtech saddles... I usually like to keep the router as the last and final option!

Saddles from a vintage trem wont work on that bridge? I was gonna suggest the graphtech saddles but I know a lot of guys hate them saying that theyre tone suckers. I didnt want to get flamed out of town.

You could put a brass plate under the bridge. That would let you lower the saddles.

I just got mine last night. A few observations:
                        · It feels super light compared to the PRS that I have been playing lately. Feels slightly lighter than my strats.
                        · Neck is awesome. Strat-like, but better. Thin, but not Ibanez thin. Amazing fretwork.
                        · Pickups. JB is fine, but generic to me. Neck single blows. Might work if I played super fast like Yngwie or Paul Gilbert, but I don’t.
                        · I don’t like 6-inline Grover mini tuners. The rounded buttons are slightly more difficult to turn. I do like Grover 3x3’s on LP’s though. I might change the tuners if something else lines up to the holes.
                        · Came with a heavy duty SKB molded plastic case and Dunlop strap locks installed.
                        · Neck plate seems to be ¼” thick. Came without a gasket though.
                        · Needs a setup. Lots of super low action fret buzz. Frets out when I bend.
                        · Came with 9’s which felt seriously wimpy. Put 10’s on, which made it better. Might need a 10-52 instead of the 10-46 that I put on.
                        · The knob is awful. Needs to be changed, but the shaft on the pot is too large to fit any of the spare knobs that I have. Maybe I’ll just change the pot when I do the pickup swap.

The shaft on the pot is 1/4". Its a CTS pot which is about the best you can buy, you just need a solid shaft style knob, or slightly open one of your knobs up with a 1/4" drill bit.

Nothing else lines up with the Grover Minis. You will need to drill new screw holes.

Do those line up or just cover the old holes making 2 sets of holes?

In one pic they kind of look like they filled the holes. Looks like a very clean job.

I've done two - one to Gotoh and one to Schaller and the holes are barely visible under the new tuners - nothing I would worry about filling.
