How did I know you had an 88 even before I clicked on the post?
What's your opinion...it gets mixed reviews.

    Very nice family!

Resize the pix down a bit so you can post directly.
And great job on GTWGITP...Ron would be proud.

        H/S config

Jackson/Charvel should bring out(/back) a production model for that

I love the feel of the 88, sounds good unplugged, not to many choices through a straight amp.
Great "clean" shredder, lots of dynamics, great with my 2204. actually a decent jazz sound without distortion.
Not sure I'll ever get used to the reverse headstock...The predator is very similar, but with more tone options.

Thanks, there was an amusing sidetrack on another 88 thread where I found out
why a certain couple of 88's "bounced around" quite a bit.
Turned out those players thought the guitar sounded dead, not much tone.

            Not mine by any means.
Came to me with an EMG85, the original J95C long gone and I liked it then.
Then I put a J90C in it and it was a fairly lively tone.
I like Kramer Barretta's I think the 88 is similar.
The 85 is back in it but I will put the J90C in again...unless a J95C falls in my lap.

Thanks for your opinion, true the variety of tone is limited on a single hum git.

                Great job EB.
What did you do, resize it and repost?

I'm lazy, I should have done that.
                Forgot about uploading directly.

oh, nothing much. When his pic opened, I right-clicked and copied the image URL. Then in my reply, I selected the 'Image' button and pasted the URL. That's it. Glad you liked it!

                    Nice herd you got there.

Do you have a favorite player out of the bunch? If so, why?

I Bought the 750XL new in 1990, without a doubt the nicest guitar I've ever played. (I have a JEM 777DY, and Les Pauls, and Lot's of Strat's, so I have tried a ton of others). I find the Fusions are my next, maybe being a Les Paul player, I just like the 24.75 scale.
Actually, the 475 is quite nice to play...fast action, thinner neck..lot's of sounds.
Having said that, they all feel good after setting up...but the single Hums are my least favorite for gigging (Unless it's Van Halen night!!)

For the Rush fans..CygnusX1??Here's a shot of me in 79 playing my Roland GR500 synth, and Marshall MKIV Master Volume Lead.

The poly "string swells" the rest with the KORG, MOOG and Keys.
Actually bought it because Lifeson used one...cost about $2500 then!
Used this Guitar when we did La Villa Strangiato in the 80's, and YYZ, but mostly Moog pedals, and keys.
                              (yes...I still have those too...what a packrat I am..)
We did only instrumental RUSH in the 80's cuz of the vocals..
