  • Totally custom Model 2C---Image intense

Well I received this axe last April for my birthday and it was great but was not perfect in the finish department. Someone did a hap-hazard paint job and it did not cure fully before it was assembled. Wanting to keep the thing until I take my last breathe for sentimental reasons I figured she deserved an awesome coat.

A local Artist/Musician/...freakin unbelievable wizard airbrush guru took it in and with some small hints as to what I wanted created this masterpiece. I cannot stop looking at it!!!!!His name is Hal Loo and he owns Mural Lab in S.E. Michigan. True freakin artist

I still have some finishing touches (waiting for a neck plate gasket, install the trem, soldering the switch and jack) etc...but here she is

The detail on the pickups is way over the top! The pirate has his vertabrae showing through his mouth. The pearl handle on the pistol. The wood grain on the dock and crates. The reflections in the water are amazing. The fire actually looks 3D My wife is an artist and does not get into the whole guitar GAS but she said "Damn that is sweet" when I showed it to her.

        YAAAAAARRRRR! Nice paintjob matey!

My only suggestion would have been covers for the pickups in case you ever wanted to change them out. Is the headstock painted as well or is it still black? I'm leaving the headstock black on mine when I get the guitar refinned.
