I'm looking forward to checking these out. My local store, knowing that I'm a C/J fan, were excited to tell me they are ordering in the new line when I was in there on Saturday

Thanks! Re-upping Metamorphosis now, I forgot to take it down, lol.

Their swag section is gone too, I was hoping to replace my Charvel hat. But I wouldn't read too much into it. Seems more like some parts of the site are not done yet, but they wanted to get the buzz out on the guitars.

They lost me with the actives, and abalone is a bit much.

Othewrwise I like them a lot (especially the single-cuts) and am glad to see J/C making more efforts to be competitive. I am really tempted to get one. If I walk into a shop and see one then try it out, I am sure I'll end up with one...........

Would it be possible to put a Bigsby onto the DC? Both the DC and the SC can be all sorts of sexed up if they put bigsbys on them

    I'm guessing Best Buy.

I can't understand why all you crybabies are whinging about Charvel expanding their line, they haven't done away with the Pro-Mods so what's the big deal? I think it's great for them to expand their lines and branch out into other market territories to appeal to a wider range of players and inject new life into the brand.

All of these models look pretty unique, i don't see why some of you guys are accusing Chavel for ripping off ESP and Schecter because they decided to put out a single-cut style model - something that pretty much every big-name brand has anyway. I guess with that logic Charvel has been ripping off Fender since day one.
I agree. I am sick of these claims that ESP is being ripped off. These kids need a history lesson like nobodies business. The Charvel LS1 is a double cut now. whoopdy f@#kin do. Its a Charvel design. Get a grip kids. I have read many post where folks have wanted Charvel or Jackson to do a LP. Why? Because they have done it before. EXACT REPLICA's.
They cannot make those. So it makes perfect freaking sense to do one souped up. My ONLY gripe? They did not do a shorter scale model of either one.

Cool inlays sell. They are in the business to sell. So get some sense of history Boys and girls. They still make a Japanese and American line for you hardcores that want them. So don't ditch the whole line and pronounce doom because they don't make them ALL to your likeing.

The only "new" design I see is the Single Cutaway style. Why? because I have followed the line since the 80's. I am glad for Charvel doing this.

I do have to ask though. How many of you haters have been ESP guys? Its almost like having trolls that work for ESP on the forum.
    Just saying.

Made in China...?!?!. Looks like they want to compete with ESP's LTD line. I'm not in favor of the bling albalone binding, etc., as I like a more traditional look.

I just noticed because of the bevel in the cutout, the binding ends at the tip of the lower horn

Which IMHO looks so much like half assed work they just lost a sale on me (was really interested in a white one)

    Nobody.
But we have to complain anyway. That's what the Internet is for.
