Well then I guess I'll try something non-Charvel.

You guys at FMIC getting how that works?
Put the stuff where people can try it out.

Probably would have sold more Pro-Mods had they been available.

You would think that with this great promotional push downmarket, Charvel would make some sort of deal with GC to get these things in the GC stores. Ya know, so they can compete with ESP, Schecter, & whatever other Chinese schtuff GC carries now.

they don't. I barley see jackson's there. They seem to be heavy on Fender, Gibson/ epi, PRS and schecter.

I'm taking a GC run this weekend and if they have them I'll try one out.

Actually was going to the Mexican place right next to it so WTH.

I'll try one when the local J/C dealer gets them. There's nothing of particular interest to me, but I'm curious about how the build quality compares to other non-MIJ imports I've owned: Dean EVO (Korea), Washburn WG587 (China) and Ibanez RG7321 (Indonesia). The MIC Washburn was terrible, but I did recently play an MIC Ibanez Artist that looked and played pretty nice.

Too much barf binding shit. That kills it for me. The double cut shape looks interesting except for having my long past Aunt Florences wierd earings binding the body. Akkkk. Why?

It's just 'surfcaster inspired' like it sez in all the ads. Just the next in a line of guitars trying to be the originals, but cheap enough to get to market with some hope of a profit. I believe the regression goes a bit like this:

    Charvel Surfcaster
    Charvel Surfcaster STD
    Jackson Surfcaster
    Jackson No-caster
    Jackson Outcaster
    Charvel Skatecaster

in descending order of awesomeness, IMHO. I guess the Skatecaster can't be placed just yet- I'm hoping it will move up the list at least halfway. Man, some of that Jackson India-made cheaper-caster stuff was just shit.
