Sam Ash was blowing out a bunch of stuff this weekend, so I figured I'd stop by. I saw one of those Dreamsicle hardtail models a month ago, and was hoping it was still there. It was! This is really the only Pro Mod that ever seriously tempted me on account of the hardtail bridge (which is near impossible to find on USA Jackson Strats). I spent a good half hour jamming on the thing, and was duly impressed. It did the Jake thing so well that it made me chuckle. I checked the specs, and sure enough it was a JB at the bridge. I had to have it, but what was the price?? Not full retail at $999, I hoped. So it wasn't on their main mega-blowout list (of course), but I was able to get it for $700 which seemed fair. The overall build quality is damn good, and the ebony and tangelo color with matching headstock really look snazzy together. I'm normally a Jackson pointy-headstock USA snob, but you can't argue with great tone.

Yeah the ebony is killer. It looks to be a hair thinner than those SD/Ontario boards, but it is still a huge slab._________________________________________________

This Wildcard is by far my fave out of all of them. I`m so into this guitar at the moment.. And does the Jake thing really well
Anyone seen the Wildcard #7 yet?.. great layout idea... but yellow dots and logo with grey white ??? Makes me even happier I went for #6

Yeah the honeymoon is over, and I ended up returning it to Sam Ash. It was looking more and more like another unwelcome project. There was a high fret, and there was some buzzing going on that a basic setup couldn't fix. Worse, I was bottomed out on the low E and A saddles and the intonation was still way off. It's like the bridge was slightly too far forward. I'm very disappointed._________________________________________________

I`m gutted for you bro
There`s a few guys on this forum that bought this Wildcard, and If i remember rightly Somebody else had the same prob with the bridge.
But luckily for me I ended up with a good one. Intonation perfect, action spot on, frets immaculate.
Have you got any plans for a replacement guitar?
