  • Measured the neck on my '88 Model 6 today

Got .810 at the 3rd, and .901 at the 12th. I measured 3 times to ensure I got a good average measurement.

This is interesting, because I was under the impression that my model 6 was thinner than my Jackson SL's which have specs of .790-.850. The model 6 always felt faster. Once I do a string change on my SL2, I'll post measurements in the Jackson USA forum here on JCF.

Interesting. The paint doesn't feel sticky on the back of the neck?

Model 6's varied some from year to year.

        Nope, no stickiness.

Thanks Straycat, I've heard that in this forum a few times as well. I believe Audiozone has a brief breakdown on the site somewhere, though that may have just been his comparo of the 750 to the 6.

Yes, there should be two different profiles.
