475 Special vs. 475 Deluxe

Anyone know the difference between the two; if any besides the 465 special was made in 1989 and the deluxe was 90 and 91? Bought one used, trying to find out what exactly it is.

The 1990-91 catalog has the 475 Deluxe:

The last catalog mentions the JE-1200 but IIRC the 2 models are essentially the same.

Do you have the serial # ?

322165 is the serial number

Same guitar. Sometimes they changed model names without changing specs. Another example from the same period was the 650XL, which became the 650 Custom in the '90 - '91 catalog with no change in specs.

I figured as much, I had looked at the catalogs and the specs and did not see any difference. So the year would be the determining factor on if it is a special or a deluxe.
