  • Model 1A

This is actually the first time I have ever known the model names of the two charvels i Have, a Model 1A and a Model 2

Ok now that that is out of the way, the bridge on my Model 1A is toast, it's the V style bridge. I did a search but didn't find what i need to know - which is this, what bridge can i put in that old ones place? I'd love to get this guitar up and jamming condition again, but that bridge is worn out in more ways then one. (I actually bout it in 92 for a couple hundred dollars because the pickguard was carved up, the pickups were replaced with crap, and the guy couldn't get rid of it. )

Anyway if someone has a link to a replacement bridge I'd be very grateful.

In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

Gotoh 105 is original equipment.Post a pic of what you have on there lets see why its toast.Just may need a good cleaning.
Not much can go wrong with a V trem.
If it won't stay in tune when using the trem it not the trem 90% of the time its the nut.
The strings bind in the nut slots.
Even the USA Charvels with the V trem have problems as far as tuning issues some of that is the headstock angle causing the strings to bind in the nut slots. One thing you can do is angle the nut slots in the direction of the string angle to the tuners.
