  • Sn# 222293 - own a lower number?

For decades people have speculated on which serial number was chosen to start off the Model Series import Charvels.

I own Charvel import Model Series neckplate #222293.

Wondering how many of you own even lower SN numbers.

Checking Henrik's site I found 222298 as the lowest. I also wrote Grover Jackson asking what the actual starting serial was for the first Model Series imports and he replied he had no clue, but suggested I ask his then office manager who oversaw the first import program. Contacted her but she also has no specific recollection.

Thought maybe we might settle this once and for all by comparing notes on the earliest serials known to us as a whole.

So, please post the earliest serials you own, or have owned, that are lower than my 222293. Thanks.

    My '86 Model 3 is 223740.
I know it's no lower....just a point of reference for others.

the model 2 i had, if i remember correctlyhad a 2222** number. Weather it was a 2222** number or a 2223** escapes me. However, i woule imagine that they would have started it with a 222200 or something like that. i dont see why they would start at 93.

I know you're looking for SN's lower than #222xxx but I just recently picked up an older model 4 so I'll throw it out there too: mine is SN#230xxx, Charvel <TM> logo on the headstock and chrome Kahler trem... at least it looks like the original Kahler but it has no Kahler name stamped on it like the others I've seen. It also has no scarf joint at the headstock. This is the first model 4/6 I'v seen without a scarf.
(sri if I got a little off topic here)
