Charvel Wild Card #8 Chrome Rod Flame

Guitar arrived today.

First impressions are:

Paint job is excellent with a lovely metallic sparkle (don't understand the negatives)
Chrome hardware looks stunning against the black and silver
The neck is absolutely superb! - feels very silky to play and the fret job is custom shop standard. It's almost worth the price tag just for the neck!
Sounds wise - I'm not an EMG fan however this guitar sounds really good and has zero hum for recording. The EMG 85 sounds very natural and I'm quite impressed.
Factory set up was also very good, apart from a quick Truss rod tweak and a little height adjustment to suit my tastes it was spot on.
The case is great also -very good quality.
From someone who owns all U.S made guitars and a custom shop Charvel I'm more than impressed, overall this is a fantastic guitar and that silky ebony neck is amazing!

Negatives -none! (Oh! - apart from the kill switch which IMO isn't worth putting on the guitar)

Awesome! Now they need to start selling them in the US! I dont understand it, all of a sudden were not getting the wildcard? Every quarter we'd see them all over the place, and suddenly nothing? Whats going on here?

You can them easily in the Uk but the way the pound is it would so much cheaper to pay dollars in the U.S +you'd have shipping unless like i've done the opposite way round ship for free through the company!

Guys, The Chrome Rod Flame will be available in the USA. It was supposed to be released at NAMM. The Europe shipment went out early for some reason...so they put them in the field a bit early. This is a limited guitar...so if you see one...grab it.

These guitars were a limited run for the European market and there are no plans at this time to produce a production model for this guitar as of yet. The Charvel one will be undergoing major changes over the next year so this may change depending on popularity.

Guys... they ARE limited...but they WILL be available in the US. Watch your dealers... they did come out in Europe first. I'll get with Consumer relations and let them know. My bad... I should have given them the info...
