What's the little switch for?

I'm assuming to split the humbucker into single coil mode... the 89 does that, as well as the newer 81TW.

I had an ESP MII Camo a while back and the Ebony board was coated like that. I was told that it is done to all ESP Ebony boards to seal the Ebony and helps to prevent cracking. It is designed to wear flat over time and becomes unnoticable. Since I did not play it much and have since sold it who knows?

Yeah, basically they seal it for the ride on the container ship. The Charvel Wild Card 6 and some other imports are like that.

Oh, maybe. Not sure what EMG is in there, though. Certain companies would use a push/pull for the split EMGs while others use a mini switch.

I really, really want one of these. I will get rid of the EMG 85 as soon as I get the guitar though. I'm not big on them anymore.

Great video! Solves the question about the switch (kill) and I think it looks much better in the video than in the still shots. The graphic looked kinda simplistic & cheap to me in the pics, but not at all in the closeups & angle shots in the video.
