What's your thoughts on a CX290?

Good ole Craig's list has a cheap cx290. $125 with a small amp. Nice shape. Is this a deal. Looks like a nice player.

I had one, nice player indeed. Sold it to a friend who still has it and he's still diggin it. I say go for it for that price.

Does it have the real strat headstock or the beak?

In that case I would pick it up. Those are worth more than the ones with the beak headstock that are most of the ones in the U.S.

I've had a couple of the CX390 and 391s with the Floyd. They are nice players. Stock pickups aren't great. I put a PAF Pro in the bridge of one, and an EMG Lukather set in another one.
