Thanks guys. I tried some wet sandpaper 200/400/800/1000 and polishing compound and some of the sanding marks came out. Still looks horrible. I'll try another hour of wet sanding and polishing and see what she looks like. Hate to paint her if she can be saved.

I have the same guitar in the same color , but with the maple fret board . It turned out to be one of my favorite guitars . I just love the neck shape .
