Definitely, definitely. I've never heard a Hotrails pickup and the output is more than enough. It's strange, but the sound has a lot more mid to high range treble than I'm used to, but I guess I can work that out with the amplifier. I am happy with everything though and I'm glad I didn't hack it up for a full-sized humbucker.

I'm now working on a Charvel CST-40 that needs a bit of rewiring.

Did you end up shaving the insulation or did you dremel the inner edge of the pickup route?
