I have a Charvel Spectrum. The bridge is a Schaller branded German-made Floyd. Is this the stock bridge? I would have expected to see a Jackson logo and not a Schaller logo on it.
My Spectrum has the original trem which says "Jackson" on the bass side and "Made In Germany by Schaller" by the trem arm = JT-590. IIRC the Japan market Charvels came with Schaller branded floyds, but I think they were a different animal from the 590.
I have seen Spectrums with "Jackson" logod floyds as well as "Schaller" logod floyds. I have seen both. but I dont know which was original if any or both. mine had a JT6 when I got it, it also had a fucked up peavey style lock nut. weirdest damn combination ever seen. I swapped out the JT6 for an OFR and swapped out the nut for a real Floyd Nut.
Thanks for the info all. I'll try to get a photo up tomorrow. It definitely looks stock, as far as fit and finish is concerned. I was just a bit surprised by the Schaller branding.
I have a Schaller branded JT-590 on my 550XL. If you think about it, Jackson probably started ordering JT-590's before they started branding them. Or, maybe they ran out of branded bridges and just used Schaller's to keep guitars from sitting there waiting to be shipped out.
