Opinion needed on Model 2 pick up

So I have decided to put a Dimarzio SD in my non-stock red model 2.

So, zebra or cream/cream? I all the hardware is black but I think the zebra or C/C looks cool on the red.

Also, 250k or or 500k volume pot??

use a 500k. 250 is for singles or a JB if you think it's too bright.

I'd go with creme/creme, but zebra is cool. Too bad SD doesn't do creme/creme. The SD is a cool pup and ought to be killer in that M2. Which IMO is as good as it gets...those are absolutely killer guitars. Definitely use a 500K. 250K and you may as well install a Tele neck pup.

I used a 1M pot in my M1 with a SD Distortion and there was no difference between that and the 500K, except that even though the 1M was an audio taper (log) pot once you budged it off zero it was fully on. Which suits me fine, just thinking you could do volume swells and have a working volume knob with the 500K, whereas the 1M was just an on/off switch.

I would love to go with duncan as that my primary pup, SH6 Rock!! However, I don't have a Dimarzio Super D, and those double cream bobbins on a red model 2 just screams Retro 80s . I am guessing the tone will be between a JB and Duncan Distortion. I figured why duplicate.
