I know. I keep thinking about my DKMGT's neck and going "Hmmmmmmmm......."

Honestly guys the neck is fine as it is. The logo looks nice too.

I'm not much of a fan of the dot markers admittedly, on ANY guitar. The offset small ones on my JDR-94 are much nicer looking than regular dots.

Yeah, fair enough The Chris Holmes one had no fretboard markers and that looks cool but yeah, sharkies are way better than those white dots.

Christ, every fucking coat of paint or clear lacquer I've put on this thing has somehow drawn flies or bits of fuckin oose or pubes to it like a magnet! Even when I've started painting it inside to stop things sticking to it, little bits of crap seem to appear on the wet paint every coat I do!

The worst thing is, I'm making a very loose interpretation of this, yet I'm being fuckin anal about the finish!

Nice. Can't wait to see it finished! I'm thinking about picking one of these up eventually. When I had my black one from '05, the jack location also bugged me a little, but I just used a right-angle cable so it wasn't a big deal.

Yeah, if I ever gig it I'll be using a right angled jack, I generally do anyway with my guitars. It just seems a stupid design flaw - how hard can it be to put the fuckin jack on the top? It's a REALLY comfy guitar unplugged, until you put the jack in!

I hear ya. They should have done it like on the RR1, but I guess it's a little more labor intensive to run the wiring along the wing when they can have it closer to the control cavity instead.

So it is worth the money but you will have to do a pick up and electronica upgrade?

It depends what you're looking for. I think it's worth the money because I wanted a Star and you can't find them over here in the UK, especially not for such a low price.
There's not a huge deal to upgrade in the "electronics" as its a single volume control, and some people might like the linear taper. Same, some people might like the pickup - I put Duncans or Dimarzios in all my guitars though, I know what ones I like and what ones will do the job I'm after.

Yeah i'm looking for a Charvel Star since i once saw the picture of a Black star with orange lightning bolt and instantly fell in love with the star model especially with strat head.
That this Pointy drop is really not a big deal for me tought. and i know i want to put a SD Screamin Demon in it or as you ordered the Duncan Distortion. One thing i do know is i dont want EMG's i already got those in Kramer (dont know it this not done to say that brand ) super strat . haha but yeah i'm looking for the radical shaped guitar which is not a normal explorer, well the Star is the ultimate solution then i would imagine

Yep, Star or Kelly, although I never found my Kelly very comfy to play. You must be able to find a 24 fret strat headstock neck somewhere that you could put on the DST-3?
