I can use lower case img. I don't know why it won't work for you Matt. One thing I noticed when I quoted your post is that you image had URL tags around it. I didn't see the URL tags around the image until after I quoted. Are you keying in the link manually or using one of the fancy gizmo buttons? I key my stuff in manually and don't trust the buttons.

I gave the fretboard a going over with some linseed oil as well before I applied those, so everything should be great once I get it all together!

I used the Star for a charity gig a couple of weeks ago, here's some pics. It was an outdoor, all day mini-festival, and of about 7 hours of bands, we were the only ones to get an encore.
The truss rod cover is engraved with our still born daughter's name, so I was really glad I got to use the guitar for a gig, it was really special.

First of all, sorry for the necro post!
I'm really happy that you got that DST-3 to do what you wanted it to do... because what happened to me was the total opposite.
Here's my story, if you would kindly indulge me:
I was in Singapore for work, and there's this guitar store near the hotel we stay at. I was overjoyed to find out that it was an official Charvel dealer, and already had the cash (OK, credit card) to grab one of these Stars immediately. If I was happy with it, of course.
Sadly, the guitar I played bore all the characteristics of a poor, shoddily-made excuse of an instrument. The list of flaws:
1) Horrible overall fit and finish
2) Floyd posts were misaligned and the trem actually was actually scraping the lip of the routing
3) Light body. Like, really, really, plasticky, toy-ish feeling light body
Needless to say, I was disappointed. They had a few units, and they all had the same flaws. I couldn't get out of the store quick enough.
However, the episode was a blessing in disguise. If I had bought the Star, I wouldn't have come across my WRMG!
I hope this was a worthy post.
