I think my old Dead Calm Aqua wildcard had Duncan STK-4's and this one has a STK-1.

I had the Dead calm aqua and the wost parts of it were that in person it looked awesome, but it didn't photograph well and always looked dull.

Yeah I tend to agree - i never liked it until I saw one in person. I then actually bought one. here's a pic of mine which i feel better represents the true color




But, to keep this on topic, I actually have both the Wildcard 7 and 8. I think the 7 is perfect from a pickup configuration standpoint. love the neck "single".. . Wildcard 8 is a bit of a one trick pony but looks really amazing in person. here's a pic of my #7 and #8
