On behalf of a new board user (Jimbye) I hosted a few pictures of his Charvel guitar. Question is: Is this a real Charvel or a fake? I know that there were some Charvels which were sold in Japan only which have this kind of logo. But I'm no expert regarding import-Charvel guitars, hence I leave this question to you. Here are the pictures:

I want to say fake, but I do recall an especially cheap line of Charvel that had really horrible parts. Sorry, my scope of import Charvels is pretty much limited to the MIJ non US market stuff. The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

I know they made some low-end stuff, but the rounded fretboard end still makes me wonder if it's legit. Notice in the page Rich linked that those guitars have the usual squared-off fretboard end. I can't recall seeing any legit 22 fret C/J guitar with a rounded fretboard end. That doesn't mean there weren't any, but I don't know of them.

Sorry if I've insulted you or your guitar. I'm kinda a self-absorbed gear snob , so anything I say should definitely be taken with a grain of salt, but yes it's genuine. The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.
