Model 4 wiring schematic

Hello Charvel people.
I have a model 4 in Firecrackle coming to me, I am waiting on the brown truck to bring it... I am salivating actually
The guy i bought it from mentioned that there was not a push/pull pot for the mid boost.
I am pretty sure it should have that as the electronics are active?
When I get it I can check it out to see what s up but...
Is there any place I can get a schematic for a 80's Charvel model 4?

Welcome. There is no push/pull for the mid boost. The circuit is active, but you just turn the pot clockwise for full on and counterclockwise for off.

The second link shows a 5-way switch rather than 3 mini-toggles, but the key thing is that it shows that wire A is the signal coming from the switch. With 3 minis, it's the same thing.

One other thing worth mentioning, I guess. Since there is no push-pull on-off switch, plugging in the guitar is what completes the circuit and turns on the preamp, so remember to unplug so you don't drain the battery. Congrats and enjoy your guitar!

Cool. I guess that answers some questions. Looks like I may not have to pull out the old solder gun when it gets here
