Nice job on the upgrades. I really think the Japanese Charvettes are underrated. I have two of the 270 models from Japan that are 24.75 scale with solid bodies (no plywood). One is yellow crackle and I'll never sell that one.

I second the Bareknuckle but I prefer the Nailbomb. Versatile hot pickup. For Dimarzio I like the D Activator or a Super Distortion. Duncan Full Shred is also a great choice. Upgrade the pot to a CTS 500K and you are golden!

That guitar will forever be YOU.
          That's a great thing.
Plenty of trash talked about the Charvettes but yours is the exception.

          Thanks for posting!

Nice Charvette, I have a 270 with the same finish.
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.

Thanks for all the comments and info guys. glad you like it. I didnt know much when i got it, before the net it was the only charvette id ever seen here in wales.

I'm looking into those pick ups,

It is a plywood, though many people over the years have had a go and never seemed to notice (unless i tell them).

The dog... Thats Jessica I guess she's a rockdog (freaks out in the car with Def Lepard on)

I traced out the 'import logo' in photoshop and exported it to illustrator etc, so i've got the artwork for the pointy head import logo in different formats if anybody wants it for a project, stickers etc, and the guys who made it for me are great if you need any making as waterslides.

I've done it for fun because i saw a neck for sale on ebay with a red headstock and it looked nicer and you cant beat American gear
( ive left the original charvette neckplate on ).
