And how to correct it. I could never manage to get my model 1 to sound in tune on open chords in particular. For example the C on the 5th string and the open G string, no matter how well I intonated and tuned the guitar, would always be well out of pitch. Finally I found if I tuned it using a chromatic tuner and used the first fret, then played bar chords only it would be in tune. The monent I involved open strings it would be well out of tune.
The answer was to remove the nut and file off 1/2 mm from the end if the fretboard and refit the nut. My other charvel guitars were around 34.5mm between first fret and nut while thus one was a full 35mm.
I am delighted it now in tune as well as a straight fret guitar can be. (Non true temperament)
so if yours has the same problem here is the answer. Btw mine turned out closer on 34.3 with my old style verniers well re measure with the digital ones and post later.
