Probably had a single locking trem on it when it was new and someone changed the trem. That one is MIJ judging by the 12th fret dot markers.
    Looks good.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

It actually probably had a jt6 or the bendmaster monstrosity that some had but not that terrible single locker that fell apart. Someone added the floyd locknut after the nut like that (good idea) and cut down the trussrod cover. It might be difficult to adjust the trussrod like that. Nice looking guitar. I have a similar black one. I dont know what the charvel labeled pickups are. Mine are fairly hot.

Oh god yes, congratulations on a hot score. Damn, I love that finish.

Back in the day my friends & I thought these were a poor man Charvel, regretting it to this very day.

Congrats!!! That IIRC is a 170??? I have a 270 that I've had since it was a year old. I like the finish on yours, mine has the red crackle finish. Great guitars, I did change the pickups in mine. Basswood body, yes. They did come with the double locking like that. Awesome thin neck carve and short scale like a Fusion.
I want to go out nice and peaceful in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and hollering like the passengers in his car.
