No offense, but I hope you are in the minority regarding price being too high.

I get the impression that this is Charvel's last go round.

MIA was considered too expensive and they sat on the shelves.
MIJ didn't move much either.
Wildcards are still available NOS in certain stores.
MIC seems to not be selling from what my local store says. They have had the same pieces for about a year. Plenty of lookers, but no buyers.

I'm thinking that if this doesn't sell, the brand will be shuttered.

Ive never seen those before. I actually think that the evh paintjob would hurt the sale or at least the willingness of a dealer to carry them.

I don't think so. Look how many people make their own home-made immitations? You can't even piece together a Warmoth for $800. Granted, the quality won't be as good, but the stuff that has been coming out of Mexico the last few years has been really good for the price point. I also think the original Art Series were priced way to high for what you actually get in a guitar.

The date on them first of all is last year. That could be a little mistake, but since when does EVH offer stuff at that price point? He's going to do a strathead with a d tuna and an EVH pickup with a graphite reinforced neck with a wheel truss adjustment plus his precious paint jobs for $899 map? Less than a pro mod?

Anything's possible but c'mon those logos look photoshopped.

The Fterkobs on the Fender EVH wolfs I've played are absolute crap. If Ibanez can sell their $900"premium" guitars that are Plek'd, why can't EVH?
