Good Fterkobs are hard to come by these days. On another note, considering that the new EVH Wolfgang Specials are made in China and going for well over $1k, I highly doubt they will be selling anything for $899.

              If 1079.99 streets for 799.99
I'd guess these go for 899.99 or about. Maybe $950.00.

I've given up on Charvels now. The pro mods were their swan song as far as I'm concerned. Obviously if I ran into some cash I'd get a CS or Demartini or Music zoo number like a heartbeat but for me now the only route seems to be used USA pro mod or USA reissue pointy neck or Musikraft, try a plek job with a refret and an aftermarket body. That gets me what I want anyway. I can always scrawl 'Charvel' in biro on the headstock.

No way I'm hanging out for a Pro mod now, even if they are made in Mexico and up to MIM Strat playability. It's just cheaper to do it this way and you get what you want.

Too much money for not enough spec. Simple as that for me.

For $900, I'd rather pay a bit more and get a used Jackson USA or a bit less and get a quilt top mahogany KNE body with a USA neck refretted by my luthier.

My understanding is that the striped ones aren't Charvels, but EVH superstrats made by Fender. ???

Right, we were just supposing that since these were mexican made superstrats with very similar specs to a charvel pro mod that it might be a possibility that Fender might consider making pro mods again in this same factory. Paint it a solid color and slap a charvel logo on there and youre 90% there.
