A dark red (like a wine or blood color) Model 2?

Hi all. I picked up an old Charvel model 2 body not too long ago. What caught my eye was that that is was a dark red instead of the ussual bright red. Also, it has the oversized pickup route. Can anyone tell me what year(s) they made this in this color? I can't seam to locate any info on it..

It could be refinished. What's the serial number? With that someone here can likely give you a rough date of manufacture based off of it. Pictures would help tons too. I believe all the Model series with humbuckers used the oversize routes to fit the Jackson covered pickups.

Could be 1988 only factory Candy Apple Red finish. Need pics to confirm.
