I have an all-white Model 6

I am considering having it painted in a rising sun motif. What do you guys think of that idea? I don't think it will ever be collectible enough that the repaint would hurt it's value. I do however think it would make a boring to look at killer shred machine into a really beautiful shred machine. Give me some input. If there are other designs that would look good, let me know.

Well, it does not have a blemish on it and plays great. However, I would consider trading it for the right Ibanez if I found it. My first guitar was a high end Iceman and I have loved Ibanez ever since.

Easy solution. Stickers. Any sign company could do it in vinyl and new owner could remove it if he didnt like it.

Much cheaper too. Have thought about going the sticker or "rap" route myself. Some of them look pretty cool. Good luck.

I have red and black, but not white. Don't paint it. You say your first love is something else. You'll paint this, possibly killing the buyer's interest when you decide to sell it, and will not recover the money spent painting it.

I'd paint it only if it had issues or I was sure I was going to never sell it.

You guys are right. I am going to leave it alone and try and trade it for an Ibanez Iceman, Prestige, Premium or the right S Model Ibanez since Ibanez is my first love among guitars. I still have a Charvel LS-1 that would satisfy the Charvel side of my psyche

If you think you will get an even up trade thats likely not going to happen.
Most stores are only going to give you $100-$200 for it if you are lucky.
Honestly most stores won't want your model 6 because they think it will be a hard sell.They will probably price it at $350 so it would be more like $150 would be their offer.
