  • Model 4 neck - inspire me with your ideas

I've got a sweet Model 4 neck that I sanded the lacquer off of and oiled and now I need to get a body for it.
I was thinking of going with a Musikraft Tele body in mahogany, tung oil that shizz, single hum, non-recessed Floyd Rose.

Any other ideas, photos, whatever, would be appreciated! Doesn't need to be Floyd Rose exclusive ideas either! I've got the Kahler that came with + a Gibson tune-o-matic bridge too!
    Thanks

I'd make it a little different. I'd go with a T.O.M. Bridge and a humbucker in the neck with a single coil in the bridge. That would be tits bro!
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Not the first time I have heard or been told that! In a good or bad way bro?

          Like in a good way!
But I don't know if I'm bold enough to go that far out!

The only reason I said this is because I have an old 1976 original Fender Tele that's got the hum in the neck and the single in the bridge. It would be perfect if it had a T.O.M. instead of the fender ashtray style bridge.

I would alter it but It's in really really good shape and worth a lot of money as I am left handed and there aren't that many 76's that are lefty. especially in the brownish color it is so I haven't ever really mustered up the balls to even change the pick ups let alone alter the bridge.

I'd leave it if I were you. Even if its a CBS era Fender, it will definitely be worth a whole lot in 30 years!

One option would be to see how far up your ass you could stick the neck. Don't cheat: go headstock first and leave it fully loaded with tuners on there. I don't want to hear about some halfhearted effort that only gets the headstock tip up there. That's not even worth starting a new thread over. Really go for it! Get a witness with a camera to document the fret marker that you can bury for posterity (and just maybe the Guinness people). You've already oiled it up, so maybe you were thinking along these lines already? I'd say the 5th fret would be an amazing goal to shoot for. Amaze us and go further.

                      Above thread...WTF......anyways too the OP

Look on the bay and snap up one of those 60s-70s funky Teisco bodies and use one of those...that'd be rad!

I'd use the one in the bottom left corner

Mike: Thanks but I want something with less knobs!
bomb: Great idea but maybe too funky for me! Thanks still.

                              I'd do it!
I'd go all out with though...top mounted Floyd concealed somehow as a Bigsby (havta consider how to do that). Modern humbuckers but covered with retro covers much like these:

Have to custom make those I'd imagine to make them fit.
...Make it SHREDDER, with all the appointments of a great 80's shred guitar....just make it look like it was made 20 years before (except the Charvel pointy headstock)
